FAQ - Are CUSTOM sized collars adjustable?

Yes, with very few exceptions, all collars we sell are adjustable. As a general rule, we make each collar or harness adjustable a few inches in either direction of the measurement you provide. For example, if your dog has a 15” neck, the collar you receive might adjust from 13” – 18”. Martingales usually start at or just below your measurement, so you have enough room to fit it over the dog's head.

Two considerations:

1. If you request a custom size range (ie 12"-20"), this often delays an order because we have to get in touch with you to choose an available size. Taking range from one end of a size sacrifices range from the other end, and often not by the same amount. Yep, it's confusing. Our sizes are tried and true and it's part of why we try to stick to them!
2. If you've included a neck or collar measurement (ie 15") that aligns with one of our normal size ranges, you'll most likely receive that size range. We typically only adjust the range for measurements that fall very close to the top or bottom of a size. The exception is if you tell us it's for a puppy that will grow a lot. In that case, we'll give you as much upwards adjustment as possible. Including the breed, age, and current weight is helpful!
